The easiest way ever to make caramelized onions! These are delicious on pizza but you can also use them on sandwiches and as a condiment for grill meat. This recipe makes a ton of onions but can easily be scaled down.
CROCK POT CARAMELIZED ONIONS
- 3 pounds yellow onions, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Combine all the ingredients in a large crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until onions are golden brown and caramelized. Stir every couple of hours.
- Drain excess liquid.
